Adolescent Eating Disorder Training Program
Our approach to adolescent treatment is based on the needs of the entire family. The focus is on working with the individual's eating disorder, and the family's co-dependency issues.
This program was developed to train all staff who would be involved in implementing an inpatient program for adolescents suffering from eating disorders. The approach is holistic in regard to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the entire family. Special focus is aimed at teaching clinical staff to identify and work with family and patients on co-dependency issues as well. Dietary issues are thoroughly reviewed and discussed with the multidisciplinary team that will be working directly with the eating disordered patient. A personal plan of abstinence is developed and practiced. Further, aftercare programs and issues are developed by staff, patient, and family members.
The goal of this program is to help the adolescent patient better adjust in his/her everyday life and to the stressors he/she might encounter once out of the hospital setting. By purchasing this product, you are given access to training materials to help assist you in developing your own adolescent treatment program.
